The news today was not what we wanted to hear but unfortunately it is what it is.  With this prolonged Alert Level 4 continuing until Friday (at this stage) Wayne has looked at the programme and has had to make some hard calls.
Stroke Play Champs -this have been cancelled this year due to not enough availability of days.
Club Champs - as these are the pinnacle of our playing year, there MAY be some changes to the structure of the T's & C's to ensure that these take place.
We are being optimistic with all our other Tournaments that are scheduled ie: Ladies Canadian Foursome on the 10th September, the Intermediate and Junior Open on the 19th September and the Spring Classic at Labour Weekend and those that are running these are still working diligently in the background.
Just a reminder of what Level 3 looks like for us and course availability:
The course is open for a specific timeframe for bookings- 9am to 2pm - 8 minutes apart.
ALL bookings are to be made online using the Dotgolf system - no walk in's
Playing within your "Bubble"
Scanning in using the QR App
NO Clubhouse facilities, no toilets @ the Clubhouse (those with clubs in a locker will need to phone ahead please)
NO pins, rakes, ball washers, taps or toilets on the Course
NO scorecards, but the Dotgolf App is available.
It is basically a walk with your clubs, a change of scenery and a chance to feel a little normal.
With the Mother Nature giving us some unbelievably good weather, we all want this to end to enable us to go back to our normal everyday life. but in the meantime you can get  those jobs done so that when we get the green light, there will be nothing holding us back.!!!
Please do not hesitate to contact me, on bottlelake@golf.co.nz. if you need any more information.
