Golf Playing Conditions
The Key message that we must stress is that at Alert Level 3 is giving us the opportunity to play Golf and we need to all abide by the guidelines to ensure that Golf can continue under Alert Level 3.
Opening Hours – the course will be open from 8am to 2pm for bookings with the gates being locked at 6pm and everyone will be going off #1 Tee to avoid congestion at #1. As we have to physically open and close the
gates/course under Alert Level 3.Tee times will be 8 mins apart at this stage as per guidelines.
Contact Tracing– all players must register to play either on the Dotgolf system or phone 383
1403 ext 1 to make a booking where your details will be given. For Bottle Lake Members we already have
these. There will be no “rocking up to play” this has been stressed to us.
Ready to Play – please ensure that you are ready to play and have all that you require ie
equipment, water, food – you make your booking, you check in verbally at the
start window and go and play and you are being asked to not congregate after you finish.
Payments – we have contactless payment available and have steps in place if you don’t have
this facility. We will not accept cash. When booking online with Dotgolf there is a facility to pay and only when we check you in will your credit card be charged.
Who Can Play– you can only play in your bubble. A distance of 2m must be maintained between
playing groups.
Facilities – the Clubhouse and the facilities are not available to non-essential workers –ie toilets and locker room. Please arrange to get your gear from the locker room prior to playing, with the office.
Course and Play – there is no scorecards, no handicapping system, no official scoring but there is an app
that you can download on your phone if you wish to keep your scores.
There will be no flags sticks/pins, no bunker rakes, no ball washers, no drinking fountains or toilets available on course. The cups will be upside down so that you can retrieve the ball without touching the cup.
Golf Carts – these can be used if you own your own but the Club will not be hiring these out. Enter the cart shed through the double doors NOT the single door.
Over 70’s – these have been identified as “at risk players”and will need to take extra measures to ensure that they protect themselves.
Greens Staff – Please do not engage conversation with any staff working on course even if you are observing the 2m distance ruling just give them a wave.
